ABOUT ME

I’m a writer & filmmaker based in Bristol.

I’ve made several award-winning short films and I’m currently developing a diverse slate of feature and TV scripts.

My work has played at hundreds of international film festivals, including over twenty BAFTA/Oscar qualifying programmes like Sitges, BFI London Film Festival, Aesthetica, Encounters, Palm Springs and Leeds.

My short film, Hungry Joe, was nominated for a London Critics’ Circle Award and was selected to screen on the prestigious Short of the Week platform, where it was called “one of the great modern British horror shorts.”

Since then, the feature version has been selected for early development funding by the BFI and was recently chosen for the 2024 Brit List; a list of the thirteen best unproduced scripts in the country. It has just been optioned by Studio POW (Funny Cow, Midas Man) for production in 2025.

Another of my feature scripts, This Is A Horror Story, made the top 1% from over 5000 submissions to the 2024 Academy Nicholl Fellowship — the most prestigious screenwriting competition in the world.

In 2022, I wrote and directed a BFI-funded psychological thriller called Distressing Images, which is currently making its way along the festival circuit and has already played at several BAFTA-qualifiers.

This year I was selected for BFI’s Network@LFF cohort. This annual flagship professional development programme is focused on filmmakers with distinctive voices who are poised to make a significant impact in the film industry.

As well as my narrative fiction work, I’ve also worked across a range of roles on natural history and factual entertainment programmes for companies like Netflix, National Geographic and the BBC. While I currently work as a producer and editor, I’ve also spent significant time in the field as a director, cameraman and drone operator.
